Sixth Form Success for Regent High School Students

Regent High School is once again delighted to be celebrating the release of A Level, BTEC National and Cambridge Technical results. The hard work and dedication of both students and staff highlight the remarkable achievements of several exceptional individuals.

Students have secured university places at a range of prestigious institutions, including UCL, Exeter University, SOAS and University of St Andrews. Students will be commencing higher study in a range of areas, ranging from Pharmacy to Law, and from Economics to Philosophy, Politics and Economics. 

Among the many success stories, standout individuals who have exceeded expectations include: 

Rosh Aso-Rashid achieved an impressive A*,A*, A grades in Maths, Physics and Chemistry. Rosh is excited to be progressing to his first choice, University of St Andrews to study Medicine. Rosh has also been awarded the Wardlaw Scholarship receiving £4,400 annually for the duration of his undergraduate degree.

Yassine Hanou achieved fantastic A, A, A grades in History, Economics and Geography. Yassine is looking forward to starting their first-choice undergraduate degree at University of Exeter reading Geography and is excited to see where this takes him. Yassine was part of the Realising Opportunities Programme which provides support during post-16 studies to develop the skills to be successful at university. He has been awarded an achievement scholarship of £1500 for his first year of study. Yassine said that the support he received during his time at the school was incredible.

Aamir Sharif achieved A*, A, B grades in Economics, Business and Mathematics. Aamir is looking forward to starting at their first-choice university, SOAS reading Economics. Aamir is excited to be embarking on his journey to becoming an accountant. Furthermore, Aamir is the recipient of the Richard Reeve’s Foundation Achievement Award 2025, receiving a one-off grant of £1,000 towards his studies as a result of his exceptional attitude towards learning.  

Fatima Ali achieved A, A, A grades in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics. She will be going on to begin her career to become an Optometrist at City University. Fatima also received a one-off grant of £2,000 from the Richard Reeve’s Foundation Achievement Award. She thanks all of her teachers for their support during her studies. 

Ridwan Mohammed achieved A,B,B grades in Business, Economics and Mathematics and will begin an apprenticeship at EY in assurance. 

 

Alba Kacaniku achieved D*D and M in CTEC Business and CTEC IT and will be joining Westminster University reading Accounting and Finance.

Gary Moore, Headteacher at Regent High School, said: “ I am absolutely delighted with today’s results and incredibly proud of our students. This has all been possible with the exceptional role our teachers have played and also the support from families throughout their time in sixth form. Student’s determination and dedication have been reflected in their grades and enabled students to secure places at university and on to apprenticeships.
