Expanded Curriculum: Achievements in 2024-2025
At Regent High School, we continue to provide our Sixth Form students with a broad range of opportunities designed to enhance their cultural capital, academic ambitions, and future career prospects. Our Expanded Curriculum offers invaluable exposure to experts, real-world experiences, and workshops, ensuring that students are well-prepared for university placements, internships, and apprenticeships.
In 2024-2025, students engaged with a variety of exciting initiatives, including:
- Francis Crick Institute Visit – Students had the opportunity to visit and engage with science and research methods.
- Google DeepMind Talk – A session with experts from Google DeepMind, providing students insight into the future of artificial intelligence and its impact on various industries.
- Careers in Law– A series of talks exploring the pathways into law and how students can break down barriers to a successful legal career.
- How to Change Your World Through Entrepreneurship – Students heard from entrepreneurs who shared their journeys and strategies for launching and growing businesses, inspiring the next generation of innovators.
- Mental Health Awareness – Workshops focused on understanding mental health, its importance in overall wellbeing, and strategies for maintaining mental health in academic and professional settings.
- Architecture and Civil Service Workshops – Engaging sessions on the career pathways in architecture, followed by a deep dive into the diverse roles within the civil service.
- Camden Apprenticeships– Workshops and information sessions on apprenticeship opportunities within Camden.
