Personal development programme

The core curriculum at Regent Sixth Form is supported by a comprehensive personal development programme during Years 12 and 13, which involves students attending university open days, personal development days, Futures Week, university masterclasses, links to world-leading partner institutions such as those that form part of the Knowledge Quarter, careers interviews, academic mentoring and enrichment opportunities.

In addition to this our students follow a bespoke Expanded Curriculum every Wednesday afternoon. These sessions provide our students with career advice from industry professionals, University and apprenticeship application preparation and a greater understanding of the different pathways available to them.

Students arrange three personal development days over the course of the year. These can involve work shadowing, visits to universities, meetings with partner institutions, visits to local employers, open days, attending apprenticeship workshops or meeting with university admissions tutors.
