EAGER
We implement our curriculum using a variety of approaches. This allows our teachers to use their wide variety of skills to the fullest, and our students to experience an engaging, inspiring range of approaches.
We want our students to be eager learners, and with this in mind we have introduced eager into every lesson.
EAGER can stand for:
E: EXAM, EXPLAIN
A: ASSESS, ANALYSE, APPLY
G: GRADE
E: EVALUATE, EXTENSION
R: RETRIEVAL, READING
Each lesson will start with a ten minute silent reading or retrieval activity to help students to focus on the lesson content, remember prior learning and be ready to engage in the new lesson's activities:
Parents and carers can support students' learning by asking your children what they have learned at school each day, and asking them to say how this links to their existing knowledge about each topic.
