Tales from a sinking land: author Marcus Sedgwick, who would have been visiting our school this spring, has been reading a chapter of his book Floodland every day and posting videos on his website.

Calling all budding historical fiction writers: the prestigious Young Walter Scott Prize, a UK-wide historical writing prize for 12-19 year olds, is now open for entries. The prize challenges young people to write a short fiction set in a time before they were born.
