Big knot workshops

Through our close partnerships with Global Generation, Argent, Central St Martin’s, BAM, Carrillion and Mansell in the Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme, students had the opportunity to attend two workshops to learn more about how to create a friendly, sustainable environment on the Kings Cross Development site.

As proud recipients of the silver Eco-School award, we demonstrated our knowledge of sustainability by working in a team to weave together different construction waste materials to create a number of objects which students and leaders of the workshop had designed.

Through the BSF programme, we have been fortunate to work with such a wide range of partners on a key issue that will affect our future generations and students have relished the opportunity to learn more about how to make a positive contribution to their environment.

As we continue our work with our partners and following the completion of our new building, it is our mission to qualify for Green Flag Eco-School status. Through our strategic networks and becoming a centre of innovation and enterprise, we can encourage our students to become global citizens of the 21st century with limitless aspirations and attainment.

It has been great to see the students’ trust and confidence grow over the last two weeks. Jo at Mansell Construction Ltd.
