Eco-school

Regent High is a silver Eco-School and our new building will qualify us for Green Flag Eco-Status. We have a huge active Eco-Committee of 140 students and we are proud to be part of the Camden and London Sustainable Schools Forums. Our work on green issues is celebrated annually in an action packed week of events.

A team approach

As part of the Building Schools for the Future programme and our vision of making our school sustainable, our partnership with Global Generation provides opportunities for teaching and training our students about how they can make a positive contribution to their future.

Through the partnership, students have been involved with a number of projects in the changing area in and around Kings Cross and have been heavily involved in our annual Green Week. Click here to read more about our partnership with Global Generation.

Support from BAM

Construction company BAM were appointed in 2010 to redevelop our school. They are currently working on the phased building programme which will see us move into our brand new learning environment in 2013. As part of their work, and through our strong partnership, BAM support us by providing exclusive educational opportunities and activities for our students. Green Week 2012

In 2012 we celebrated our fifth annual Green Week. There were many opportunities for our students to get involved with projects, trips and workshops, particularly using the connections we have with our partners. The focus of the week was to understand and appreciate environmental issues and sustainability and to explore how students’ contribution could make a difference at home, in Camden and globally. Click here to read more about some of the activities that went on during Green Week 2012.
